In agricultural circles, we only just started talking about going green and adopting more sustainable ways of farming with initiatives like organic farming and conservation agriculture leading the charge. The chances of success are very dependent on action and cooperation from all fronts. From the subsistence farmer confined deep down in the most remote communal areas of rural Chimanimani. All the way to the big commercial farm establishments located in some of the best agricultural environments and everyone in between. The fact remains that the level of agricultural production and productivity will always be informed and affected by the state of affairs in nature. A booming agricultural industry will always be firmly hinged upon a healthy and productive environment. Only with such an environment can the dream of feeding future generations be realized. Unfortunately, this will only work if we work together to change some of our long-held farming practices
Whilst we may have been used to using any and every kind of chemical and machinery in any way we wish to when it comes tro farming. The very earth from which our food springs from is in dire need of a change in farming methods. There is always talk about leaving a place or an item better than the state in which you found it. The truth is this, so far we have failed to do that with our planet. If you need proof look no further than the trees, animals and most importantly the land and water that is closest to you. At vaMudhumeni we believe that if we work together, we can affect change within our communities and beyond. We can implement methods that will, like a mighty wave, sweep over communities, countries, continents and ultimately the entire world in a major leap towards sustainability and longevity. Join our community and work with us to #HelpFarmersGrow more sustainably and lets save the farmlands for future generations
