Getting Creative in Farming (Part 2)

By Lynette Simango

A farmer reached out. He didn’t know what to do with tobacco barns at his farm since he was no longer interested in growing tobacco. He might have been disappointed at the auction floors or something that he called it quits. Since the barns are fixed, he wanted to know if it was best to get them demolished and use that space to venture into something else. He didn’t know they were some ways he could make use of these barn and make huge profits- Mushrooms farming! Yes! He already had the structure all set up and all he needed to do was install shelves, lightning, ventilation and automated equipment that turns water and fan off automatically. How creative is that!
