Dear Farmer , Do you Have A Cropping Calender?

I write this letter to let you know that it is of paramount importance that you have a cropping calender. Cropping calender helps you to make a schedule on the crops you intend to grow in such a way that maximize your revenue.You can’t just wake up from a dream and say, Now let me grow tomatoes. First of all what time of the year is it? Unless you have a greenhouse you need to do your planning very well. Below is a list of of some crops you can grow and when to grow them


a) Cabbage- Plant in March, harvest in June
Plant in September, harvest in December


b) Tomato – Plant in January, harvest in May to June
Plant in September, harvest in December to January


c) Onion – Plant in March, harvest in July-Aug
Plant in September, harvest in December to January


d) Potatoes- Plant in January, harvest in May
Plant in August, harvest in December
